Well after web 2.0 another word which is floating in the web world is definitely Enterprise 2.0. Now the question is what this new term is ?

The answer is Enterprise 2.0 is a push toward integrating the social and collaborative tools of Web 2.0 into the office environment, but Enterprise 2.0 also represents a fundamental change in how businesses operate.

Generally in organization information is passed down the line from top to bottom. And the suggestions flow from the bottom to the top. But in Enterprise 2.0 structure, the information does not flow form top to bottom or from the bottom to the top. It now flows laterally. But yes it does have the option to flow the information in both directions.

But this is one thing which can turn against it. Cause in every organization order is the power which every one at the top level enjoys and so they may not like the system where their power can be lost or subdued.

But the positive side is that if is used then the employees will definitely enjoy the transparency and that can increase a lot of productivity.

Few features are:

Enterprise 2.0 - The Wiki
Enterprise 2.0 - The Blog
Enterprise 2.0 - Social Networking
Enterprise 2.0 - Social Bookmarking
Enterprise 2.0 - Micro-blogging
Enterprise 2.0 - Mashups and Application

Maya Entertainment Ltd has recently delivered 40 episodes of Noddy In Toyland television series, for Ireland-based Brown Bag Entertainment. The series is currently on air on Channel 5 in UK and will be soon coming to India. With a team of 85 artists working on the project MEL has delivered animation, lighting, effects and compositing for 400 min of the series while the characters, texture backgrounds were provided by the client. The series is based on Noddy, one of the most famous and beloved characters in the world of children‘s literature by Enid Blyton. Every episode has its own story line the base being Noddy playing the protagonist and humor being the flavor of the series.

Talking to AnimationXpress.com Dipesh Desai, Project Director, MEL, shared, “This being a complex show with many episodes having crowd and high-end simulations and effects was a test of our endurance and our production pipeline. We took the initial few months to set our pipeline right even though it meant we had to delay some episodes completion. But we were confident and we could catch up on the back log with ease.”

The work on the series started in Jan 09 and was completed in May. Targeted at a global audience of age group 4 to 8 years, the series had predefined look and feel that it called for.

Dipesh explains, “Noddy is made of wood and wears bright colored clothes which children like, this has been continued since the Noddy comic book days. Noddy still looks the same and that is probably one of its USPs. The environment models and the style of secondary characters are also from the same family of color palettes which makes this show the best kids TV program across this genre.”

Being an iconic character and a collector’s item, production of Noddy series had some set quality benchmarks that MEL had to match. “Noddy is famous in almost all the countries across the world since last 61 years. Since many of episodes have already being produced by various studios across the globe, we had to ensure that we are not behind in quality or quantity. The benchmarks were set from the previous episodes of Noddy, but our pipeline and artists talent were on toes 24X7 to maintain it. With not having the luxury of time we had to ensure that every stage is checked, double checked and triple checked to have minimum re-renders. Turnaround time required for each stage was short and we had to develop very accurate tracking and QC systems,” adds Dipesh

MEL is currently completing work on its first feature film “Ramayana the Epic” directed by Chetan Desai and is also working on two TV Series.
